Hi Everyone
Todays story is about a visit to The Society for Indian Children’s Welfare.. SICW
This Home has been and always will be very special to me because one of my children came to me in the USA from here. My girl was cared for and loved by the SICW staff and slept in one of the cribs that you see in the photos.
As I had said in my earlier mails I will forever be grateful to the people of India who helped my children before they came home to me.
Because of luggage restrictions on airplanes and also possible duty charges, when I arrived in India , Dibyendu and I went shopping at a great store called First Cry in New Alipore.
We bought many new baby items from the store from a nice salesman , from diapers to toys ..including baby bottles, baby blankets, baby powder and other baby items.
When we arrived at SICW the staff was so Happy to see me again .Everyone came to me to say hello. They told me it has been 5 years since I’ve seen them and they were worried about me.
I was so Happy to see everyone again that we all talked in the office for 30 minutes together. Honestly, It was a very happy time for all of us to see each other again.
I love this place so much ..
After our nice talk Dibyendu and I went to see a few of the children and Massies. We brought our 2 big bags of donations with us right to the Doctor in the nursery.
SICW was just like I remember it…So clean that you could eat off the floors.
The Massies Love these children and all the children are well cared for by them. Some of the children are handicapped and they require extra care and SICW also looks after every one of their needs.
Again I want to say that I am proud of SICW and the work that they do for children.. They do wonderful work for all the children in their care.
I am very Happy to be a part of the SICW family of adoptive parents.
