Last year in Nov 2022 I was given 21 beautiful heavy duty backpacks, a few T-shirts and hats along with some water bottles to send to the Daughters of the Cross Sisters to give to the children and people of Rourkela Orissa as well as a faraway village in Orissa. I packed up everything in two boxes except the water bottles, because there just was no room in the boxes for them. The backpacks were all heavy duty and padded so they took up much of the room in the two shipping boxes.

 

The first shipment went to the Daughters of the Cross Sisters in Rourkela the 2nd shipment was sent a month later also to Rourkela, where the Sisters took it by car, train, and bus to a faraway village school to give to the children. From the time I took in the donations until everything arrived to all the children, it took nearly 6 months to complete this project and get the photos below sent back to me from the Sisters. Everything was very much appreciated and made big smiles from the children. I still have the water bottles to send, but for now with the cost of shipping so high. I have to wait to send them until later this year. For now, everything worked out great and we made a few poor children very happy.
