The Principal – Karen McLaughlin, Students and Staff,
Happy New Year to one and all!
The past year we received 7 boxes from Ray O’Brien which had lovely stuffed animals, total 350. He informed us how you have worked towards this project. Thank you very much for your generosity and support.
Every year St. Joseph’s Convent School organises school carnival in which we have games stall and plenty of food. All the proceeds of the carnival are used to help some poor schools in the villages. This year some of the stuffed animals were given as prizes for the winners in the game stall. In order to play the game one has to pay ten rupees. Surely all do not win. This year we made nearly Rs. 6000 from the game stall which had stuff animals for prizes. With this money we managed to supply 7 sets of desks and benches for the 28 students in a very poor school in a remote village. This was possible because of your good will. Thank you very much.
This project sponsored by you helped St. Joseph’s Convent school in turn to help the poor children in the remote village. So we are connected in this plan of bringing joy to the poor and needy. Nobody is a loser. The giver and the receiver both have benefitted much from this project.
The sisters of the Daughters of the Cross, Rourkela worked with Children are Angels from Heaven in Boston along with the help of Katy and Chris McDonagh of Natick, MA. Due to their collaboration I can say that the project was a success. We thank you sincerely and send prayers and good wishes to all of you.
Good Luck and blessings,
Sr. Mary fc
