Clothes for India and Bangladesh
I am a little late sending this mail to you… Last summer I sent a beautiful box of clothes to my friend Dibyendu Bhattacharya in Kolkata, India. For some reason it took a long time for the box to arrive and when it did he decided to save everything in it to distribute later in the year at a special holiday called Durga Puga. He also took some of the clothes with him on a trip to a neighboring country named Bangladesh…
I will end my mail to you except for Thanking You for your help and support to help Children are Angels from Heaven.
Below you will find some of Dibyendu’s mails and photos to read and see that he had sent to me.
Dibyendu and his family always work very hard to help the poor.

Dibyendu’s Mails are below

The biggest festival of Bengal has taken off today amidst rain spoiler and with further predictions of rain. Rain or no rain the revelry will go on next four days. This year Durga Puja is very special because the United Nation has very recently recognized the festival as event of cultural heritage.
I have started distributing the garments to the real needy. Mostly are suitable for winter, I will go slow and utilise each piece in best possible way. I am sending 2 more photos herewith and would send more in due course.
Wish you all the best.

All is well with us. I think I have been able to distribute half the contents of the box sent by you. The clothes are mainly winter wear and winter is at our doorstep now. I hope to be able to distribute everything in another month. As you may know, I am a cautious man, I always look for best utilization of anything I have or what you send me for distribution. Sending photos of two more happy recipients.
I will try to organize the garment distribution in the way you suggested. There is a problem of carrying the box to wherever such distribution is arranged,

I have a few more pictures of the recipients of garments from your last box. These are photos of painters who work under very highly risky conditions. They climb on wooden scaffolding to paint even twenty storied buildings. They do not use any safety gear. Every year we see news of accidental fall and death.
Lately temperature has dropped in Kolkata, we are now at the beginning of winter.
Hope all is well at your end.
Thanks.

I was away from home for some days, had gone to Bangladesh to see the places where our ancestors used to live before India was divided into two countries way back in 1947, the other being known as Pakistan. Pakistan again was not a single land, it had two parts at western and eastern side of India.
I had carried some of the remnant garments of your last box to Bangladesh and successfully handed over to deserving recipients. Attaching pictures with some from Bangladesh.
